- Everyone who applies to UM is considered for an academic scholarship - there's no separate application!
- Apply for admission EARLY- View application deadline information for first-year, transfers and international students.
- To be considered for need-based grants and other types of aid, complete both the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the CSS Profile.
- Always check with the Office of Financial Assistance and Student Employment when adding any awards from outside agencies.

FAFSA and CSS Profile
We encourage all of our eligible prospective students to consider applying for financial assistance. To be considered for need-based financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), available online at www.fafsa.gov. In addition, we require all incoming first-year and transfer applicants to complete the CSS Profile, available online at profileonline.collegeboard.org. International students can and are required to submit the Profile to be considered for need-based institutional aid.
