Endowed/gift donor scholarships are awarded to current students through the Student Financial Assistance and Employment Office by submission of financial aid applications such as the FAFSA and CSS College Board Profile and are based on financial need. However, there are several donor scholarships that do require an additional application and further information. Please see below for a list of these scholarships:

To qualify for the Nicaraguan Students Endowed Scholarship you must:
Applicant must be a female graduate of a Broward County high school with a 3.0 cumulative average. Also, the applicant must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at the University of Miami, demonstrate financial need, and plan to enroll for the Fall semester at the University of Miami.
Amount of Scholarship: Up to $2,000
Women, age 20 or over, whose previous academic achievement has been above average and whose undergraduate or graduate studies have been interrupted or postponed for one year or more due to family, career, monetary or other personal reasons. Additionally, applicants must be currently accepted to or enrolled in a degree-seeking program the University of Miami, be enrolled full time (at least 9 credit hours a semester or more) and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Applicants must be residents of Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe or Palm Beach County prior to attending the University of Miami.
Amount of Scholarship: Up to $10,000
