Financial Aid Applications for 2019-2020 Academic Year Available October 1

*Currently enrolled students: Starting with the 2019-2020 academic year, we will no longer require you to submit a CSS Profile if you filed one before. We will use your last Profile in conjunction with the new 2019-2020 FAFSA information to determine financial need.

All US Citizens and eligible non-citizens are still required to submit the FAFSA each year to be considered for federal financial aid. The new 2019-2020 FAFSA application opens October 1, 2018 and will require 2017 income and wage information. If you filed taxes in 2017, we recommend using the Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) to import your tax information into the FAFSA.

Important Information About Your 2017 W-2 Tax Form

Student employees can choose to elect electronic W-2 tax forms as part of an effort to help the University reduce costs, safeguard your sensitive information, and support our commitment to sustainability. Electronic forms are also available sooner than printed forms  and are available 24 hours /7 days a week, whenever you need to access them.  In addition, electing to receive your W-2 tax forms online reduces the risk of mailing errors or lost or stolen forms.

Log in to Workday at www.workday.miami.edu and follow the steps below by December 31, 2017 to enter:

  1. Click the Pay worklet and select My Tax Documents.
  2. Under Printing Election, click Edit, then click OK.
  3. After reviewing the current information for New Election, select Receive Electronic Copy of My Year End Tax Documents, and then click OK.
  4. Review the new printing/delivery election, then click Done. Your election will remain valid for all future tax years.

Unless you elect otherwise, your W-2 will be sent via U.S. mail to the mailing address on file. In order to prevent your personal information from being sent to an incorrect address, you must update your mailing address in Workday prior to December 31, 2017.  Please view the Workday tip sheet on how to change your contact information, including mailing address, in Workday.
